Vermont Public
Television Deer Discussion - Monday Night
WATERBURY, VT - Tune in
Monday night, February 7, at 9:00 p.m. for Vermont Public Television's
live one-hour discussion on Vermont's deer herd.
"Vermont's Deer Debate: An
"Outdoor Journal" Special" looks at the Fish & Wildlife Department's
proposals for managing the state's deer herd. Program host, Lawrence
Pyne will discuss the pros and cons of the proposed changes to hunting
rules with Fish & Wildlife Commissioner Wayne Laroche, Wildlife Director
Craig McLaughlin, and Dennis Jensen who is outdoor editor for the Sunday
Rutland Herald and Barre-Montpelier Times Argus.
Viewers will be invited to
call a toll-free number announced during the program with their
questions and comments.
"Vermont's Deer Debate: An
"Outdoor Journal" Special" is intended to foster viewer's involvement in
civic affairs.
The Fish & Wildlife Board
will hold four public hearings on the proposed deer regulation at
locations around the state in February. A list of times and places can
