Waterfowl Public Meeting Aug. 11 in Burlington

WATERBURY, VT -- A public meeting to review and discuss the status of waterfowl populations and Vermont's waterfowl hunting seasons will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 11 in the University of Vermont's Campus Center Theater, Room 101 (Billings Student Center) off Colchester Avenue in Burlington.

The meeting will cover current status of waterfowl populations, framework dates for seasons and bag limits for 2005 waterfowl seasons, and public comment on recommendations for waterfowl regulations in the Lake Champlain and Interior Vermont hunting zones.

Anyone who hunts waterfowl in Vermont or has an interest in waterfowl management and waterfowl hunting seasons is encouraged to attend this meeting, said Bill Crenshaw, Vermonts waterfowl biologist. This meeting is an excellent opportunity for those who want to participate in the season setting process to become personally involved.
