Over the weekend, I went out back of my house to do some work and I felt a “swoop” go by. I looked to my left and sitting on the edge of the roof was this fella. Knowing he wouldn’t stay around long, I stood and watched just wishing I could get a couple photos. Once I had finished admiring him/her and his seemingly unconcern for me, I quietly ran like a mad man into the house to get my camera. When I returned, lo and behold he was still there.

He sat for quite some time watching ever so closely the ground all around him. We have an overabundance of rabbits in our neighborhood. I’m sure that’s what he was looking for.

Finally, he flew down off the roof and landed on the lawn. He seemed to be looking in one specific area, like maybe he had hit pay dirt once or twice there before.
