The reality is that if we held a national lottery to hunt the elk in the Rocky Mountain National Park millions of dollars could be raised to further the conservation of these majestic animals and reduce the herd at the same time. The worse thing that could happen is that anti-hunters would win the tags and no elk would get to be hunted. But then we would just have a bigger lottery the next year.
